.) My previous computer experiences are a little out of date. I am not familiar with this version of Photoshop or Illustrator. I use the computer almost every day for emailing, research, microsoft word etc. I hope to learn a lot from this course. I have a mac and a pc. I am more used to the pc.
.) I hope to get a better understanding of the shortcuts available to these programs so that I may work faster because I have a tendency to do the longer ways of completing a project. I also want to learn Photoshop much better because the last digital art class I took was in high school (3 years ago). My experience is out of date.
.) I like the time that you can save by using a computer for art. Certain cites like blogs etc. can help you store art and get your work recognized. This is something useful. A few years ago my computer crashed so it is a smart idea to save your work somewhere else so that you don't have to loose all your hard work.
.) Fun fact about me: I contra dance. Contra dancing is a hybrid dance that combines old english ballroom dancing with swing dancing. I've been doing it for 2 years at Glenside Memorial Dance Hall.
.) Story Time: On New Year's Eve seven friends who have addictions all decide to have a bonfire and burn their addictions. They are starting the new year by kicking their nasty habits. They document their experiences, strengths and hopes in a notebook that gets passed around to each member. As this social experiment progresses things get interesting; some cheat and read other entries, some gossip, some relapse. In the end they all learn a very valuable lesson.
